Installation and Compatibility

We are aware of some issues with the VST3 versions of Auto-Tune EFX 3 and the AVOX 4 plugins in Sonar.  We will be addressing these issues in the next updates of those plugins.  In the meantime, please use the VST2 versions.


The VST3 versions of Auto-Tune 8 and Auto-Tune Live are compatible with Sonar Platinum.

 

Scanning for plug-ins

If you've installed AVOX 4 or Auto-Tune EFX 3 and they are not showing up in Sonar Platinum, please follow these instructions to resolve the issue:


1. In Sonar go to: Utilities - Cakewalk Plug-in Manager.


2. In the Plug-in Manager, under "VST Configuration" click "Options."


3. In the "Options" window click the"Add…" button and navigate to the following location(s):

    C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST2  (if you're using the 64-bit version of Sonar)

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\VST2  (if you're using the 32-bit version of Sonar)


4. Make sure that the "Re-scan failed plug-ins" and "Re-scan existing plug-ins" are checked.


5. Press "OK"


6. Back in the Cakewalk Plug-in Manager, under "VST Configuration,” click "Scan VST Plug-ins.”

 


If you've installed Auto-Tune 8 or Auto-Tune Live, and they are not showing up in Sonar Platinum:


1. In Sonar go to: Utilities > Cakewalk Plug-in Manager


2. In the Plug-in Manager, under "VST Configuration" click "Options."


3. In the "Options" window click the"Add…" button and navigate to the following location(s):

    C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3  (if you're using the 64-bit version of Sonar)
