Installation and Compatibility

We are aware of some issues with the VST3 versions of Auto-Tune EFX 3 and the Avox 4 plugins in Sonar. We will be adressing these issues in the next updates of those plugins. In the meantime, please use the VST2 versions.

The VST3 versions of Auto-Tune 8 and Auto-Tune Live are compatible with Sonar Platinum.

 

Scanning for plug-ins

If you've installed Avox 4 or Auto-Tune EFX 3, and they are not showing up in Sonar Platinum:

In Sonar go to: Utilities - Cakewalk Plug-in Manager.

In the Plug-in Manager, under "VST Configuration" click "Options."

In the "Options" window click the"Add…" button and navigate to the following location(s):

Sonar  64bit - C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST2
Sonar  32bit - C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\VST2

Make sure that the "Re-scan failed plug-ins" and Re-scan existing plug-ins" are checked.

Press "OK"

Back in the Cakewalk Plug-in Manager, under "VST Configuration” click "Scan VST Plug-ins”.

 

If you've installed Auto-Tune 8 or Auto-Tune Live, and they are not showing up in Sonar Platinum:

In Sonar go to: Utilities - Cakewalk Plug-in Manager.

In the Plug-in Manager, under "VST Configuration" click "Options."
